According to me, no debit cards are worth it.

In the +30 years of my using credit card on every available opportunity for shopping and bill payments, I’ve never used a debit card for these usage scenarios even once.

My overwhelming preference for credit card over debit card stems from the following benefits offered by credit card that are not offered by debit card:

  1. Float From Deferred Payment
  2. Rewards
  3. Greater Fraud Protection
  4. Better Redressal Against Fraud
  5. Credit History

My use of debit card is limited to withdrawing https://asahiramen.com/valium-for-sale/ cash from an ATM.

I recently learned that I don’t need a debit card even for ATM cash withdrawals. Apparently, the old concept of “ATM Card” is still a thing. Back in the day, ATM Card was used to withdraw cash from ATM – and nothing else. Over the years, the ATM functionality was bundled into debit cards. But, according to an ex-Banker, pure ATM card hasn’t died: If a customer wants it, banks must issue a pure-ATM Card and, that too, free of cost (unlike INR 500 / year enrollment fees charged for debit card).

Englightened by this new found knowledge, I’m planning to surrender all my debit cards and get pure-ATM cards in return.
