Yes, if the store agrees to put thru’ your transaction in the so-called MOTO mode.
MOTO stands for MAIL ORDER TELEPHONE ORDER and needs only the credit card # – and maybe Expiration Date – to be entered in the POS terminal. Some stores might ask you to sign a printed chargeslip, others might not – it depends upon their risk appetite.
MOTO is very common and widely used in the USA. In India, POS terminals support MOTO but store attendants may not be aware of it, so you might need to call for the store manager to make a MOTO payment happen.
