Labor v. Leader
A tragedy of the Indian middle class is that the software engineer thinks he is closer to the millionaire capitalist than he is to the labourer. This is sad because the software engineer IS a labourer. His fate is tied to the labour "reforms" that he thinks are only for "them".

BS. 1000s of people have joined IT companies as software engineer & risen to senior management ranks after 20-25-30 years. I doubt if there are even 100 people who have managed to do that after joining a Manufacturing company as a factory worker aka laborer.

In Capitalism, Labor or Leader, both are dispensable, subject to power, and can be fired in the blink of an eye. Leader includes Manager, CxO, CEO, Promoter, Millionaire Capitalist, even Billionaire Capitalist. PLBS contribution, non-linear growth in compensation, span of control, etc. are what separate Labor v. Leader.
There’s huge evidence that Software Engineer who joins an IT Company is on Leader Track compared to Factory Worker who joins Manufacturing Company. Whether they actually become Leader or not depends on how they play their cards. They needn’t wait to do that until first visit abroad.
