(Click <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/sketharaman.com\/blog\/?p=85\"><span style=\"color: #606420;\">here<\/span><\/a><\/strong> to read my post &#8220;Modern Technology in Public Transport Buses&#8221;).<\/p>\n<p>Lo and behold, just one week later, I saw an electronic display at the Aldwych bus stop in London announcing the timings of the next few departures.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.sketharaman.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/06\/London04_BusStop_400w.png\" alt=\"\" \/>\u00c2\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Does it look like someone in London Bus has taken  note of my blog post and has already taken action, or&#8230;???!!!<\/p>\n<p>Still no facility to send out an SMS to receive the next few departures on your mobile phone; and still no display inside the bus to announce the next stop&#8230;\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Maybe if I keep looking, I&#8217;ll find those as well; besides, I might get\u00a0around to acknowledging one modern technology that I&#8217;ve found only in London public transport so far (Clue: Where do pearls\u00a0come from?)!<\/p>\n<p><span><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A few days ago, I&#8217;d written about the use of modern technology in public transport buses in various parts of the UK outside London, such as Poole-Bournemouth and Cardiff.
