This article quotes a survey in which one in five customers was not getting the broadband speed they signed up for.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"margin: 5px;\" src=\"http:\/\/sketharaman.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2007\/07\/Broadband_Slowlane_orig.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"349\" height=\"674\" \/><\/p>\n<p>At the end of the article, the writer recommends you to take your business elsewhere if your provider is unable to improve your connection. I wish the article contained a step-by-step guide on how to actually do this, considering that most broadband providers bind you into 12 or 18 month contracts. And, going by experience of a couple of friends, it&#8217;s very tedious and time-consuming to get out of such contracts even when the broadband service has completely broken down.<\/p>\n<p>PS: When I&#8217;d written <a href=\"http:\/\/sketharaman.com\/blog\/?p=54\">&#8220;My London Broadband Experience&#8221;<\/a>, I was wondering when <strong>sky<\/strong> would change my subscription to the &#8220;mid&#8221; broadband package.
